Loose is the third album by Canadian pop singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado, released by Geffen Records on June 9, 2006 (see 2006 in music) outside North America, and on June 20, 2006 in North America. Timbaland and his then-protégé Danja produced the bulk of the album, which incorporates influences of R&B, hip hop, rock and 1980s music. Loose reached high positions on charts across the world, and as of August 2007, it had sold almost 8 million copies worldwide, making it Furtado's best-selling album.
