Love Behind the Melody - Raheem DeVaughn

Raheem DeVaughn will release his second album “Love Behind the Melody” this Tuesday. After listening to the record,I came to one conclusion:Raheem is very talented and his voice deserves a larger audience. The LP starts off very strongly with songs like “Woman”,“Love Drug” ,“Friday (Shut The Club Down)” and “Customer” and then…I don’t really know. The album gets boring half-way as if Raheem needed more time to do a better product.
With “Love Behind the Melody” Raheem proves that he is still an R&B underdog, not quite ready yet to compete with the big boys.

Mary J. Blige - Growing Pains

"It's not reliving where I been. [The album is] just based on where I am", Blige told MTV NewsOctober 22 on the set of the video for her new single, "Just Fine". on

"So many people are like, 'I'm perfect.' I'm so imperfect, that's why I'm able to let everything out and let people see everything. 'Cause I'm just a mess like every other person that's a mess out there. And it's going to take probably a lifetime to get to a point in my life where I'm like, 'Oh, I'm perfect.' I don't think that will ever happen. So as long as I'm a human being and I'm not perfect, I'm able to say I'm having some growing pains. Because in order to sustain where you are once you made such a breakthrough that everyone is looking at you, now everyone is like, 'Ooh, is she gonna make a mistake?' Yes, I'm going to make a mistake. Yes, I'm still gonna do things. And that's what Growing Pains is about, it's about finally not whining about the pain, Mary J. Blige, and accepting the pain that comes with growing."

Ne-yo - Because of You

Because of You, formerly named Know Me, is the second album from Def Jam recording artist Ne-Yo, the album was released on May 1, 2007. The lead single is "Because of You". The song leaked into the Internet February 3, 2007, and a remix featuring Joe Budden has been leaked into the Internet as well. A second song, "Crazy" featuring Jay-Z, was leaked on March 19, 2007, but this was only a shorter version of the full song. It was rumored that the album would include guest appearances from Trinity Stone, Busta Rhymes, Beyoncé, and Fabolous, but they were proven to be false. The album features a duet song with Jennifer Hudson"Leaving Tonight". A third song, "Make It Work" was leaked on April 7, 2007. The title for this album was originally Outta This World before being changed to Because of You. Ne-Yo then changed it to Know Me, before reverting to Because of You. The full album leaked onto the internet on April 7, 2007, three weeks before the album's official release date in the USA.

So far Nielsen SoundScan reports have Because of You debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 and Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (issue date May 19), selling 245,182 copies on its first week of release. [1] This gave Ne-Yo his second number-one album. The album has sold 800,000 copies since it's release date in the US, but for some reason it has not been given a certification of gold for shipping 500,000 copies. Worldwide it has sold over 1,500,000.

So far it has donned two singles, "Because of You" and "Do You". The third single has been confirmed to be "Can We Chill."
