Midnight Boom - The Kills

Midnight Boom is the third album from The Kills which is slated for release on March 10, 2008 through Domino Records (March 17, 2008 in the United States). It was recorded in Benton Harbour, MI. "Midnight Boom" refers to the moment the moon comes up and everyone else goes to bed.

The album was preceded with a site, also titled Midnight Boom, dedicated to the videos and remix tracks for 'U.R.A. Fever' and 'Cheap And Cheerful'. Prior to the release of the album the tracks 'U.R.A. Fever', 'Cheap And Cheerful', 'Black Balloon', and 'Sour Cherry' were leaked and available in limited circulation on the internet.

Marah - Angels of Destruction!

Marah's sixth album, Angels of Destruction!, finds the kids from Philly in a brave new world: new sobriety, new members and of course, new songs. Culled from a Niagara-like output of songs over the past year, Angels of Destruction! is, as David Bielanko puts it, "...the tip of the iceberg and the bottom of the well." Musically, AOD! is Marah doing what Marah does. The album swings with abandon and rocks with greasy soul, all the while paying its respects to the guy-and-a-guitar simplicity that lives at the heart of every rock n' roll song. The title track is a propulsive chilled-out rocker that hints at the larger themes of the album: religion, redemption, destruction and joy. Much like this song and Marah as a whole, AOD! is a phoenix rising from the ashes. It is a jumbo jet slamming the earth in a contorted heap. It is everything and nothing at once. It is rock n' roll.

The Hives - The Black and White

The Black and White Album is the title of the fourth full-length album by Swedish garage rock revivalists The Hives. The album's release dates are October 15, 2007 in the United Kingdom and November 13, 2007 in the United States. The album was originally slated for release on October 9 in the United Kingdom, however this date was postponed until the October 15, for unknown reasons, as was the original US release of October 9, 2007.

The first single off the album, "Tick Tick Boom," appears on the Madden '08 soundtrack. Clips from this song apeared in a Nike commercial shortly before the single's release date, August 14September 24 in the UK. for the US and

The band said they've recorded 20 to 30 songs (including seven recorded with producer Pharrell Williams) for this album and are currently choosing the best. Other tracks have been produced by Jacknife Lee and Dennis Herring. Sessions were held with Timbaland, with whom the band produced the song Throw It On Me, but took place too late for any of the resultant tracks to make the record. They hope to use these songs as b-sides.

The album's track listing was confirmed on the band's German website on the 13th September, and later through NME.

As of October 9th, "Tick Tick Boom," "Try It Again," "You Got It All... Wrong," "Well All Right," "Won't Be Long," and "Fall is Just Something Grownups Invented" are all on iTunes.
