Duffy - Rockferry

Rockferry is the debut studio album by Welsh singer Duffy, first released on March 3, 2008 by A&M Records. Prior to releasing the album, Duffy appeared twice on Jools Holland's music show, performing the tracks "Mercy," "Warwick Avenue" and her version of "The First Cut Is the Deepest."

The album title Rockferry, according to Duffy,[1] is loosely based on Rock Ferry, a suburb of Birkenhead, on the Wirral Peninsula and approximately 10 miles from the Welsh border and 3 miles from Liverpool.

Children of Bodom - Blooddrunk

Blooddrunk is the sixth studio album by Finnish metal band Children of Bodom. The album contains nine original songs, including a re-recorded version of "Tie My Rope". Various editions will feature one or two cover songs as bonus tracks. Limited edition digipak version of the album includes a bonus DVD with 5.1 surround mixes of all songs and the video and making-of for "Bloodrunk".

Alexi Laiho has stated he has been feeling very aggressive while writing the songs, and that they will be faster and "thrashier" than the songs displayed on their latest release, Are You Dead Yet?. He notified fans, however, that certain parts of the album will be more progressive.[1] The lyrics will cover similar territory as previous releases. The Lyrics to "Blooddrunk" and "Tie My Rope" can be found on the band's official website. Roope played the solos on "Done with Everything, Die for Nothing," and "Banned from Heaven."

The first single was the title track, which was released in Finland on February 27, 2008, and features the cover song "Lookin' Out My Back Door" as a b-side. The videos for "Blooddrunk" and "Hellhounds on My Trail" were shot in Berlin, Germany in December 2007.

Eric Avery - Help Wanted

Many more people probably know the name Perry Ferrell then know the name Eric Avery, which is unfair, since Avery co-founded Jane’s Addiction with Ferrell. Since those hazy ‘80s days, Avery has gone on to lead the band Polar Bear and play with the likes of the Smashing Pumpkins, Alanis Morisette, Peter Murphy, and Garbage. That last band’s lead singer, Shirley Manson, makes a guest appearance on Help Wanted, Avery’s first true solo album. So do Flea (playing trumpet, not bass) and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. Of Help Wanted’s thirteen mostly gloomy, introspective tracks, three are subtitled “The Man Who Could Fly.”
